A Modularization Framework for Aesthetic Hypermedia Authoring

This paper proposed a fine-grained modularization framework which decomposes the styling of a typical hypermedia presentation into fine-grained style modules (FGSM). A FGSM presenting a specific fragment of the source content document can be regarded as a building block that can be assembled into a final hypermedia presentation. By switching the FGSMs, a content document can be presented in different fashions based on the combination of a set of FGSMs. The proposed framework concerns the balance between the complexity of authoring process, the aesthetic quality of the final hypermedia presentations, and the efforts for style template design.
